Editorial Policy & Ethics

Written with care. Corrected with honesty.

Trust is built slowly, one honest sentence at a time.

Readers give us their time and their attention. In return, we owe them work they can rely on.

Why We Publish

Technology moves quickly, and good explanations rarely keep up. Tech-Stribe exists to slow things down: to explain how AI, software, cybersecurity, hardware, and devices actually work, in clear language, with the details intact. You can read more about us.

Accuracy Comes First

We aim to get things right before we get them out.

  • We check technical claims against reliable sources such as official documentation, standards bodies, and published research.
  • We separate fact from opinion, so you always know which one you are reading.
  • We avoid hype. If something is uncertain, early, or unproven, we say so.
  • We credit our sources and link to them where it helps the reader.

A good explanation doesn't pretend to know everything. It is honest about where knowledge ends.

Independence

What we publish is decided by our editorial judgment. Topics are chosen because they are useful and interesting to readers, not because someone asked for coverage.

If a story involves a financial relationship, such as sponsorship, affiliate links, or a product provided for review, we will tell you plainly. You can read more in our Advertising Policy.

Transparency

We believe readers should know how a piece came to exist.

  • Authors are named on every article. You can meet them on our Authors page.
  • Sponsored or partner content is clearly labelled and kept separate from our editorial work.

Corrections

Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how they are handled.

When we find an error, or a reader points one out, we review it and fix it. Where a change is significant, we note the update on the article so readers can see what changed. Our Corrections Policy explains how.

To report an error, use our Contact page and include the article title and the correction you suggest.

Pitches and Contributors

We welcome ideas from engineers, researchers, and writers. Every pitch is read with care and judged on usefulness, clarity, and accuracy.

Contributors are expected to follow the same standards described here: original work, honest sourcing, and clear disclosure of any conflict of interest.

Respect for Readers and Subjects

We write about technology, but technology is made and used by people. We aim to be fair to the people and organizations we cover, to avoid unfair or careless claims, and to treat our readers as thoughtful adults.

Good writing on a hard subject is a form of respect.
